So the stuff I dyed last night did not turn out very dark. Maybe my dyes are old or the sodium carbonate in the dishwasher powder was weak. Whatever the reason, I got pale results. They will be nice for something I am sure.
I'll get to the supermarket or pool supply for some proper soda ash to find out.
And now they are back ...

Sodium carbonate - I wonder if it has a "shelf life" like baking soda. Kinda makes you wonder.
I'm glad to see you're blogging as well. I just watched your first Simply Quilts Episode this morning (dying silk) - it was so much fun.
